I have a brother 910 knitting machine with rubber. Attached and went across first row, attached comb with wire hung weights but it does not want to pass left to right. I pulled down on comb thinking it was being caught have my settings where book says and afraid to jam machine. Any advise? I have watched videos and am confident I am doing what I should. My machine has been recently serviced and in great condition and knits fine. Just the ribber. I must be missing something.

I suggest you take off the knitting and compare the pitch on the needles of both main bed and ribber.
Pull 2 needles forwards gently on each bed, while watching them very carefully.
On the ribber, At setting P, needles should hit one another, at half pitch ribber needles should be exactly half way between 2 main bed needles.
If doing a 1x1 rib, you need alternate needles forwards and in work on each bed.
Does any of this help?

Have you adjusted the ribber after fitting it ?

Thanks for all the help! I finally got the ribber to go ONCE back and forth. I loosened tension on yarn I think it was tight but it’s the bar with wire hanging it up. I put several weights on it and pulled down with my other hand-still only worked once. ???? It doesn’t appear to be coming up but when I go to pass carriage it must be. I will check with level to my table. Very frustrating.
