In dealing with Ice Yarns, I always go directly to the site in Turkey. I don't believe I've ever paid a flat rate for shipping; it always has depended on the amount of yarn bought. The total cost of 16 balls of wool/acrylic yarn I bought there within the last month, including shipping/handling, was less than $30, so it must depend upon what yarns are being bought and whether they're on sale. I'm in Michigan; the order arrived less than two days later. As always,I'm happy with the yarn.
