There are so many to choose from...the prices vary so much. Can anyone recommend a yarn winder? Thanks...
That's why I don't need a winder- only acrylic and cotton for me. I do rewind yarn (tangled, frogged, measured in to seperate ball etc.) but my Dad taught me how to wind yarn properly, tidily, not too tight, ending up with a thumb hole in the middle and so neat - I enjoy doing it when I have to; but I wouldn't like to wind from a loose hank like my Mum used to (with me holding, arms aching) Thank god those days are gone!darowil said:While most of our yarn comes in balls and so no winding needed the hand dyed stuff all comes in skeins and so needs winding.

Thank you for you very smart answers.

I ordered one yesterday from the company. Amazon was charging $20 more than the company. I did pay a bit extra for shipping and should have it by Tues morning.
