I keep seeing this rather gorgeous Granny Square Dog Coat / Jacket and I would really love to make it for my little Toy Poodle Beryl. I've searched high and low for a pattern for it, and can't find anything. I don't fancy spending $120 Canadian to buy the completed coat. Have you any idea where I might be able to buy the pattern for it?

Thank you in advance for any help you can give me with this.

First most granny square designs are crocheted so here a few designs. These do not match your design but give you ideas. Our family tried this concept but our dog keep shaking it off.

I'd bet anything this is AI generated picture.

Your photo is AI generated so there was no pattern to start with.
Are you sure?
The coat is sold on Etsy:

At first, I had thought it might be AI, but enlarged on my phone, the stitches look like real crocheted stitches. Now, I saved the photo on my phone, then did a google image search, and found it on Etsy.

Absolutely sure. It might have started as a real photo of a coat but has been altered. The colors, texture, edges give it away. Now you really can't believe anything. I dislike Etsy for this sort of misrepresentation is rampant.

I agree with MMWRay that it's AI. The 'crocheted' squares don't have the traditional Granny Square stitches. If you look at the center ring, the 'stitches' don't look like dc's but more like wrapped strands around a circle. Also, the squares are joined rather haphazardly and the dog fur doesn't look quite real to me. It looks more like artwork, IMO. Plus, I don't necessarily trust Etsy photos.

It was my grandfather getting out of the pool at Ainsworth hotsprings. Same scenario.
