My grandmother was born in the mid 1800's and knit, crocheted, tatted, embroidered and did needlepoint among her other crafts hobbies and daily activities. My mother followed suit to a lesser degree. I came along and did these to an even lesser degree. I have grandma's dp needles and hooks, some of which are over a hundred years old. I was thinking of giving them to our history museum but wondered of any of you would like to own them. I have no idea the value of these and don't even know who to ask. If any of you could help me out I would love for a passionate knitter/crocheter to get these and pass them on to her daughters.

Yes this is the sets with the wooden holder they came in , actually there were two sets inside plus a kind of needle with a blunt end and a small and larger hole at the top maybe about 3 inches long. I wasn't sure what they were at the time but then i got the other set in the paper holder that had Boye on it with knitting pins. It's fun to find things like this. I used to collect old sewing machines and I have found interesting stuff in the drawers of the cabinets before.

I just re-read your first post. I have two sets size # 1 DP metal needles and 1 set #2 metal DP. You want along with the blocking wires?
